Our Anniversary

June 19, 2008
At last!  Because money has been tight, this last few months, I have not been able to afford my regular hair appointment, so just lately have been looking anything but ‘smart’.  Every day has been a Bad Hair Day, and I was beginning to feel like old Auntie Agatha (where’s me twin-set and pearls?!), so Robert told me to get my hair done by Wednesday.  Why Wednesday?  Because he thought we might go out for a meal…
"You’ve forgotten!!" he said, "Four years and you’ve forgotten already!"
It was our wedding anniversary…and I had not forgotten
Anyway, I got my hair done, yesterday, and I feel great…OK, so I’ll never be a sex-kitten, but it’s amazing how just getting your hair done can make you feel like a million quid!
As I was saying…our anniversary, yesterday, so we went out for a meal, after work.  We decided to try a place that had been recommended by a friend…an Indian place on the High Street.  Basically…decor crap, food fantastic!
When the starters arrived, I thought they’d gone straight to the main meals…I am not a big !  Anyway, we had a great evening, and ended up bringing home a doggy-bag…today’s lunch.  We get to enjoy our meal again…two for the price of one, so to speak.
Right, lunch time…!!! (Drool) 😛  Tongue out

It is sad, isn\’t it!  It just so happens that I am in the middle of a very heavy, crampy, grump-making period…women\’s problems to you men!  It doesn\’t stop me from thinking about \’other things\’ all the time, though…but not after a big meal…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I prefer \’old speckled hen\’ but what ever gets you going is fine…..forgot the ice cream…..
    \’tutti frutti\’ with FLAKE and NUTS ..
Then wait till the waiter has gone back in the kitchen and  run out the door quick….!
An old chinese restaurant trick from my youth.Three lads, long hair trailing free, arsing it down new street in birmingham
closely followed by a group of demented maniacal chinese wielding meat cleavers…..
Ah, yeah you got it \’those were the days\’.

That\’s a true story by the way. After a good night on the town the question would be "chips on the bus or order the soup and run?"
We were pursued into new street station and in the middle of the concourse is a large carousel of telephone booths,we three dived into a booth each and pretended to be talking on the phone.A group of wandering police officers dressed as dixon of dock green in them days, had joined the chase for fun. They rushed in and stopped next to the booths clutching each others arms for support and heads darting in all directions. Then they shot of again in pursuit of god knows who. They were closely followed by the now totaly incenced chinese waiters who also paused for a moment ,then spotting the quickly receding police officers, shot off screaming chinese style insults
We poked our heads out and slid of through the taxi rank chuckling about keystone cops and \’fluck you iriot\’ chinese.
    Bag\’o\’chips,bus,home to bed…still smiling.
