Grumpy Old Woman…Take Three…!!!

August 13, 2008
Well, they say that things come in threes…lets hope they’re right!!  It’s been three days of crap, so far this week…Monday – noise from downstairs and lift out at work!…Tuesday – starting to feel like crap, more bloody noise from downstarirs, and lift still out at work!!…today – still more noise from downstairs, so I knocked on her door and asked her, politely, if she could keep it down as Robert works nights, and was trying to sleep.  She basically told me to sod off and mind my own business, as she lives there and she can do what she wants!!  And was she to stop the kids from playing…?!!  Well, they can play quietly, couldn’t they, and there was no need for her to shout all the time, was there…!  She practically slammed the door in my face!!!
Left home early to go to the hospital for a blood test…missed bus and had to wait a while for the next one.  Novice driver with his instructor…turning into Portland Street, the bus pranged a car…instructor got off bus to talk to irate driver, came back and told us that they may be some time, so we got off and walked the rest of the way to the bus station…where I missed the bus to the hospital…!!!
Twenty minutes later, next bus…and the world and his wife were waiting to get on!!!  Finally got to hospital…oh…fifteen minutes to get blood test done, go and catch bus and get to work…!!!  Didn’t happen!!  Late for work…and the lift is still out!!  Finally got upstairs and felt sick and dizzy!
Got home…to more racket than usual…she had friends round, and they were shouting at each other, instead of talking…well, those people (Neanderchavs) have brains the size of a walnut, and seriously enlarged vocal chords…though I get the feeling they were doing it on purpose…how puerile!!!  I’m off to the council, tomorrow…

Poor Sandi, I hope the people in work were understanding about the late arrival. It\’s not as if it\’s your fault is it? AS for the noise pollution.. I had this next to me for six months. Night after night screaming, crying things being smashed. Then one night at 4am., during an exceptionally horrendous domestic. I quietly phoned the Police and went back to bed. The police arrived and took him away and after that she moved away. I really hope your problem resolved sooner rather than later. xx

Our MP has sent us  a survey on anti-social behaviour…how convenient!  So I shall be filling it in and sending it back…with details of the constant disturbances and where!!  Her boyfriend will probably re-appear, then the rows will start again, so I will probably call the police…who knows…
I like the idea of Mike sending \’the boys round…\’ hehehe…a tiger and a wolf, and a German shepherd dog, perhaps…?  See \’e off boys…!!!

Yo Sandi! Is this a Council Flat u live in? My youngest sis works a s a Council Officer, so I can ask her wot is the most effective 7 best course of action 2 take if u like? Enviromental Health can come along & measure the noise levels & rate them deciding if they are indeed above the acceptable level & they then issue the offending tenants with a Noise Abatement Order. They do come back & check, if the noise level doesn\’t drop, then they can remove items such as steros & can issue them with a Court Summons! Hope u have a better, quieter day 2day! Luv PF XXX

We bought the flat a few years ago…but as for the noise, it\’s Glynis that has the most to put up with, and it\’s really geting her down with the kids thundering about overhead…we hear all the knocks and bangs, as well as the baby crying and shouting…that girl does not know how to talk normally!!  I asked her to keep the noise down and she shouted back at me!
Like I said…I\’m off to the council, today!
